Heather McAlpine

Heather McAlpine is an abstract painter who works in acrylic, using color, layered surfaces and fine, gestural marks. Autumn Drift, an acrylic on paper, shows the approach: a pale, weathered column of light rises between bands of deep crimson, framed by rust-colored discs and thin dark lines that read almost like stems against the glow.
