Pate
Annette Pate, a native of Summerville, SC, longed to paint full-time. She was a Sunday painter all her life until 1986 when she fulfilled her life long dream. She left her career with Eastern Airlines to become a professional artist. Since that time she has studied with Elise Dresch of Atlanta.
"The Impressionists are my inspiration." Annette's paintings express her fascination with sunlight and shadows through oils. Her subjects often include flowers, gardens, and landscapes. The Southern landscape is her main inspiration, but the coastline of Cape Ann, Massachusetts influences her as well. In the summers Annette participates in artist colonies in Cape Ann. Annette now resides in GA with her family of poets and artists.
